More and more laptops today are getting thinner and thinner. It helps in
terms of convenience because people will no longer be carrying a heavy
laptop along with them. Despite becoming slimmer, many of today’s
laptops are becoming more powerful as well. You can no longer judge a
powerful laptop by its size, such as what the new MSI WS60 offers.
The MSI WS60 is considered as one of the thinnest laptops around at
0.78 of an inch thin. It would have been the thinnest if it were not for
the Dell Precision M3800, which is currently the thinnest at just 0.71
of an inch thin. But aside from a difference of mere millimeters, the
MSI WS60 may have something more to offer in terms of performance.
The MSI WS60 is built to be a workstation despite its paper-thin profile. It comes with the 4th generation
Intel Core i7 2.5GHz processor with 6MB cache. This laptop also comes
with a NVIDIA Quadro K2100M graphics chipset with 2GB DDR5 memory for
some heavy duty video and graphics performance. The MSI WS60 also comes
with a 16GB DDR3L 1600MHz RAM, a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. This laptop
also comes with a 15.6″ Full HD screen, Dynaudio Premium Speakers w/
Subwoofer, a backlit keyboard, an SD card slot, HDMI port, and a Thunderbolt port as well. The base model comes in at around $2,300. You can check it out at the MSI website for a more detailed view.
